Travel from the coastal city of Lima across to the soaring Andean mountains to Cusco and Machupicchu, capital of the Inca Empire and onto the vast altiplano – Puno with its unique floating islands on Lake Titicaca and the funeral towers of Sillustani. Besides the deepest Colca Canyon and the rainforest Puerto Maldonado. Destinations known for their unique natural beauty, history, and cultural traditions.

This journey begin in Lima, the capital of Peru. Enjoy our personalized touring to your interests, such as an insider tour of the impressive historic district (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a visit to colonial churches and catacombs, plaza de armas, Miraflores & San Isidro districts and museums.

Next, early morning travel along the Peruvian coast from Lima to Ica. Take a glider (fast boat) to visit the Ballestas Islands a huge variety of marine birds, sea lions, penguins and more than 60 species. (Locally known as aves guaneras) for their production of guano – droppings used as fertilizer, which constitute the habitat to large concentrations colonies in their natural environment. You will pass near the Candelabro (another ancient sand design). The following day transfer to Nazca airport to board a Grand Caravan airplane, seating 12 passengers. Overflight of the Nazca and Palpa Lines discovered in 1927, we will have the chance to see and photograph this immense Pre-Incan astronomical calendar, a series of crafted drawings, such a spider, a hummingbird, a monkey some up to 300 meters long, which can only be seen in their true dimension from an altitude of at least 1,500 feet. (1:40 hours). Then return to Lima.

Continue, fly to Cusco, and transfer to the higher elevation, stay at the city’s most historic and distinguished hotel. Your guide will lead you through the narrow streets as you learn about the fascinating Incan and Spanish history in the city. Visit important archaeological sites just outside of the city. In the evenings, enjoy a dining at Cusco’s top restaurants. The Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba Valley) for a one night stay. Your guide will ensure you experience the best of the local culture during visits to indigenous markets and villages, gentle walks or hikes to important Inca sites, and meetings with local weavers. Spend the following day travelling by train to Aguas Calientes. Continue to Machupicchu and walk near the ruins. Your tour guide will teach you about the fascinating history of the site and ensure that you have the opportunity to explore the surroundings. Additional activities can also be arranged, upon request, with a local expert or an evening cultural performance.

On your final day, fly back to Lima for an overnight stay then connect with your onward flight to Home.
